About Us

Registered Manager

Our Registered Manager is Liz Wootton.  Liz is a former registered general nurse and has previously worked as a staff nurse and Sister in care and nursing homes in Warminster, Westbury and Frome.

More recently, Liz has been caring for and supporting clients who have had a variety of needs including palliative care, dementia care, personal care, help with shopping, and cooking meals.

Liz particularly enjoyed the ‘caring’ side of nursing and enjoys working with older people, so it was a natural step for her to become a domiciliary care provider.

Liz appreciates that for some clients the introduction of a carer into their lives is a big step. Her initial priorities therefore are to allow clients to get to know her, and then to find out how they would like us to help them.

As well as visiting potential clients, Liz’s responsibilities include visiting established clients, the management of our care staff, delivering training, quality assurance and, with our clients' permission, liaising with clients' relatives.

Liz’s earlier career involved nursing in a variety of hospital departments, as well as for a charity eye-hospital operating in numerous developing world countries including Mongolia, Burma, sub-Saharan Africa, and Central and South America.

Care Staff

All our care workers are subject to a rigourous selection process that includes interviews, enhanced Disclosbure and Barring Service checks (this includes checks with police records etc) and references.

Staff are then given training in specific subjects such as:

"Mum's greatest wish is to stay in her own home as long as possible but without the amazing care given by Cloud Homecare this would not be possible.
I could recommend Cloud Homecare to anyone..."

"Before we discovered Cloud Homecare we were seriously worried that my godmother would have to go into a care home. This has enabled her to remain in her home, whilst retaining a sense of her much-loved independence"
